Default Which servos for Sig Something Extra

I am planning on using Futaba 3004s on the ailerons and elevator, Fubata 9001 on the rudder, and a Futaba 3003 on the motor.

Will be using a 2000 6 volt nimh battery. Engine is an Evolution .46.

Will the servos listed be satisfactory?

This is my first kit build and so far so good.

Thank you. Todd

Todd, the SM is a great airplane, you'll love it. The servos you list will be fine for it, since the control surfaces are not huge. BTW, a 1000 mah battery would be enough for about 8 flights if you care to save some weight.

Thank you for the reply. 2000 mah is probably over kill on the battery. This is going to be my first plane with a NIMH receiver battery. All of my other planes are ARFs and they have NICads for the receiver. Todd

I would rather stay with NiCads or A123 chemistry. In my experience NiMh just do not last as long. I experienced about 2 years of life with mine. NiCads are also much more robust if you happen to leave a receiver turned on for a couple of days! I no longer have much use for them. The A123's are bullet proof.
Just my opinion.

this is a GIZMO which is a design close to the SSE, same basic airfoil I use the Futaba 3004 servos there's plenty of power and there reliable, my Giz is powered by a OS46AX and its a serious stunter.

the color scheme is from my rebuild after I crashed it, the fuse used to be white your SSE will be fine with the 2004's
