Default tf red top kits?

What is the difference from the regular kits and do they have a different part number?

The red and yellow box kits are the old designs from Dave Platt, Dan Santich, and Hal Parentti. The gold are all new designs. The red/yellow are old school construction; the new are more up to date lock construction.

The newer Gold Edition Top Flite Corsair was based on the old Red Box kit and is very similar. The rest of the Gold Edition line are brand new designs and share nothing in common with the old Red/Yellow box kits. They all have different kit numbers which can be found here: http://www.top-flite.com/manuals/index.html

Thanks guys. i already knew most of that yet i have TF P-47 60 size kit and it has kit number RC-19 on it. The box top look yellow but may be faded. i found one in the market place going for 295 dollars. I just wonder what is the difference between the old yellow and red tops. Does one come with different wood or something?

for that price you might as well buy a new Gold Edition kit for 170$ and spend the extra you saved on supplies, the gold kits go together great and there upgraded in the engineering of the building process 295 is way steep of a price for one of those old kits

There are no differences between "yellow" and "red" box kits. Top Flite changed the color of the box at some time in the past.

Gold Edition kits are in no way the same as the old kits. All are completely-different designs...even the Corsair. Just look at the sizes of the old kits versus the new ones.

What Bax said. The Camo is Red Box. The Aluminum is Gold Edition. Note Red Box slab sides, at a minimum. The red box is considerably smaller.
