Is fiberglassing a model dangerous if you breathe in the particles? How do you get around this if it is dangerous? Thanks.

Yes it is a project that requires caution and care.

The glass itself is more of an irritant than a dangerous substance. Dust can cause problems in your lungs and airways because it is sharp and abrasive at a microscopic level. Wear a face mask, even a small paper one like you see doctors wearing are small enough to filter particles this size.

The reagents (chemicals) used are potential carcinogens and bad for brain cells, they are very volatile so they permeate a room quickly, and are potentially flamable. Only do this in a well ventilated area and dont let kids play with the chemicals. The mask wont help you here unless of course it is a ventilator which paper masks are not. So to be safe do it with the doors and windows open away from the rest of the family.

Wear gloves, latex, nitrile, or dish washing gloves etc to protect your skin from absorbing the chemicals. Not all gloves are inert to all chemicals.

I have a big window fan in my building room (attic). If I blow all of the stuff out the window with the fan, will if affect my neighbor's? Or once it gets outside the house it gets too thin to do anything. (Neighbors are 35 ft away) Thanks.

No that will be fine once the dust is outside it is "diluted" past the point of being able to annoy anyone,

take it easy
