Default TOWER HOBBIES

I just want to say a good word for Tower. I ordered a Tiger 60 but one of the wing tips was 1" short and looked like it had been broken off. Bad piece of 1" diangle balsa. I called Tower Monday AM 7/31/12 and UPS delivered me a new wing tip Tuesday evening 8/1/12 no charge nor any questions. When they screw up we want to critize but when they do outstanding work, lets congratulate them. I think this was outstanding.

In my many years as a Tower customer, I have only had 1 defective product (servo).
They sent a replacement one, no questions asked. Mind you I'm from Chile...

I've heard at the club that "with HK, Tower is in deep trouble". At least "I" will keep buying from them.

Saludos,
Jean Paul

They are pretty good with replacing bad parts. If you send them an engine for work the main problem is YOU ran the engine lean!! That is there stock answer to engine problems.
You will get the same service from any of the main places that are state side, H-9, Hobby Horse.

I like Tower, but living in Illinois I have to pay tax in addition to shipping. So I avoid the shipping charges and order from my LHS

They put a warehouse here in NV and if you live in CALIF or NV you also have to pay state taxes. Once I started building bigger planes I out grew Tower. That was a lot of years ago and tower quit selling most items that builders require. Little things like kits and supplies. I see them going the way of Horizon by selling nothing but ARFs and flight supplies. It's what is selling today.

My experiences with Tower have all been good ones!

The only issue I have had was the VERY late arrival of a package,
most likely due to the postage system. They communicated promptly
at all times & were just about to re order from the supplier (non-stocked
items from Robart) when my package arrived.

For some reason it went via Sweden to Australia!

I rate a company more how they do things when things go wrong than how
they do things when all goes to plan. Tower were very proffesional when
things went pear shaped! - John.
