Hello everyone (anyone?)
I have a Killer Vee that was given to me - now I know why...NO DIRECTIONS! I have the blueprint but need a little help.
Anyone know of this plane? Have any suggestions on how I can get a copy of the procedures?

Search for the manufacturer on the net, you might find the instruction book available for download.
But "In the Old Corps" all we ever had was the wood and the plans sheet anyway. Maybe a note or two on the plan, but an instruction book? Never heard of any such thing.

Thanks William, I already checked on-line for GM Precision Products but there was nothing. I also called the number on the box and it was no longer in working service.
I guess I need the instructions so I can follow the proper steps (in a certain order, I guess). Like I mentioned I have the "blueprints"; I'll have to attempt the old school way of building. If I f*** it up I'll just try it again

Thanks for the input. I found someone who was able to photocopy the proceedures for me so I'm ready to move forward with my Killer Vee project. I've noticed a few pieces missing that I will have to make but I guess that's part of kit building, huh?
I will take you advice on the engine into consideration - glad to hear someone else out there with this plane. Can you post a few photos of it?

I have found a Killer Vee for sale and am about to get it. I built one in 1991 and put an .049 on it had a lot of fun. It's life ended with a low altitude roll that went awry and it embedded itself (meshed) into a chain link fence at a tennis court. Looking forward to reliving those days. I can perhaps be a resource but am not sure yet what will be in my "kit"...

I have a Bumble-Vee, an .049 powered model. I built that model over 15 years ago up in Alaska when I was flying there. I have an unbuilt .20 size kit I never built. It is a great little flyer on three chanels and just love the little jewel.

My Feedback: (1)
I still have my Killer VEE and love that plane. I would not put a .32 on it. It was originally designed for electric and the wing is built real light. If I remember correctly it had an 1\8" hardwood spar. If you put anything over a mild .25 it will be too much. The best engine I have found for it is the O.S. .15 CVA. Kind of spendy but it works great because it is light. I have flown Combat with mine as a backup (after I destroyed my frontline planes) and it stepped in and got 2 cuts for me to win the contest. I uesd a .25 FP on it then but I think a strong .15 is a better choice for sport flying. I am at 5200' altitude in CO as well so if it works good up here it will work even better lower.
