I have a DLE 30 that I want to build a plane for. I need some suggestions for a kit. I want it to be resonably aerobatic and not a Warbird. Thanks

About anything you like in the 120 size. Another choice is building from plans. I'm presently building the Prime Cut +20 from Airage plans, the plans are the best I have ever gotten from them. CAD drawn and everything fits, makes for an easy build. This is a 40 to 50cc size plane but the plans can be reduced by Kinko's for a smaller engine. Once we can post photos again on RCU I will start a build thread to show how easy this plane is to construct.

I'm in the same boat.....nib DLE30cc....was thinking of putting it in the AT6 (120 sized) Seagull AT-6 which has an Evolution 125 now...or wait! Slipstream models have an RV-8 for $240 and a Beaver for $200...both are for 30cc engines <g>

D&L Designs has a couple of offerings that would fit the bill for a 30cc engine. These planes are definetly "builders kits" and would be above my skill set to attempt to build without a couple more kits under my belt. But, if I had the skill set, this would be my choice... Also, since most replace the supplied hardware in traditional kits, you are not paying for stuff you're not going to use anyway.

Now that I think of it, I too have a D&L "kit" sitting in the closet....better look and see which one I have (of all the things I have lost in my lifetime, my memory is missed the most!)

A good kit for the DLE 30 is the Dynaflite Super Decathlon, and it is not a warbird.
