I don't have a Kange, but the Birdi flys great. No bad characterestics except to keep the speed up just a little at touchdown or it might tip-stall is what I've been told so I do it.

My was built by another person 30+ yrs ago and put in a warehouse. I bought it from his estate. It still fly's great and everything in the plane is fastened securily.
I did change the engine from a Rossi 75 two stroke to a Zenoah 38. I also changed the servos from the old Kraft servos and receiverto new "standard" servos and 2.4 receiver.

I will remove the covering and re-do it as that is starting to become brittle and it will giveme a chance to see inside the bellcranks that operate the Ailerons. Probably also replace the control horns etc. They are old and hard as rocks.

Your friend wants it should tell you to keep it. It's a great flyer and zips along quite nicely with the narrow fuse and flies easily with the high wing.
