Woould like to hear from those whom have had success placing a Zenoah G26 in a kit. Besides the all powerful Sig 1/4 scale Cub, is there some good alternatives that have flown well and made enjoyable builds?
Thanks for any pictures also.

Most of the Balsa USA 1/4 WWI kits seem to be designed around a G-23 (AKA G26 predessessor).
I'm mid-build on a Balsa USA 1/4 Nieuport 28 and the process has been enjoyable.

Either scale or sport.... more interested in a solid performer that is a fun build. I am moving towards larger projects and want to try gas for a change. Thanks.

ORIGINAL: Gray Beard
Blue Jay Models still cuts the 80 inch Kaos, I once used the G-23 in mine and it is a great combination and fantastic plane.

Is the wing a one piece unit, and is making it a two piece possible.

GP or Dynaflite PT-19 the 84 inch versions, Dynaflite Citabra. The Big Ultrastick...I am sure there are others. Just not awake enough yet.
Here is another one that I have flown with a G-26, and it is for sale on here:

If you can find one, many designs from the line of IKON Nwest kits are suitable for a G-26. These are scale kits, with a certain amount of challenge to the build.

Great ideas... the 80 inch Kaos is interesting... does that have a thick enough nose for a G26? I will look at that. Do you have a picture GreyBeard? THose IKON kits are incredibly scaled; wow.

The wing is one piece as designed but it can be built as a two piece. I never did built it other then as a one piece though. The fire wall has a lot of room. At one point I used the plane as an engine test bed so it had a number of brands and sizes on it. Last engine used was the RCS 1.40 22cc gasser. I thought it was going to be too small but it pulled the plane as well as any of the other engines. I have no photos of it on this computer. I have no problems hauling an 80 inch one piece wing in my van, another reason I started keeping my builds down to 80 inches and smaller. The 90 inch Prime Cut I'm building now is a two piece wing but it's the first plane I have built with a two piece in a long time. I find the one piece wing easier to build and assemble at the field plus it is easier to store in the shop. Blue Jay's prices are some of the best in the hobby too. They haven't gone up too much from when Joe was still cutting them.

If you are considerng ARFs, I had a G-26 in my Great Planes Super Stearman. The model flew vary well with it.
Another consideration might be the GP WACO.
