Default Top flite T34B Mentor kit

Hi I just bought the Top Flight T34B Mentor and Im wondering which engine would best suit this plane, the Dle 20cc, mangnum 70 4 stroke, or is the OS 65ax good enough? Also, this is my first kit Im building how difficult is it or what is the avarage build time? Thanks Manny

If this is your first kit build, you need to follow the instructions closely as I don't think this kit is a good one for a first time build. Top Flite does a good job with their instruction book and RCU has lot's of members that can help you if you get into trouble. Good Luck, Dave

I would suggest a good 60+ (up to .90) two stroke or a 1.20 four stroke.

Please post pics when you can. This is one of the planes on my "wish list" that I hope to build someday. Although I want to make mine look more like a T-34C Turbo Mentor that I flew in when I was in the Navy.

I love magnum engines but the problem is that the cylinder head will stick out the cowl too much I want to hide everything as much as possible. So a smaller power plant will be needed.

Thanks Dave for your reply, I was also looking at the top flight p47 kit and it seems to be the same skill level as the mentor. It would be a great confidence booster if it comes out perfect!!
