Hey cub experts. My friend just bought a used cub for a deal but has to cover half a wind and repair and recover the turtledeck but needs to find out what covering it is. It's yellow and fairly course fabric so what coverings could that be? Thanks for any suggestions.

Impossible to say without seeing it in person, but it sounds like solartex.

If it is a 100" J-3 cub Hanger-9 ARF in cub yellow, it is likely covered in "Solartex" fabric. I believe Solartex is also being used on current Great Planes Cub ARF's (81" 40 size). Earlier GP Cub ARF's used Coverite fabric covering. Balsa USA sells Solartex. Hope this helps.

It could be several things, Solartex, Worldtex, Coverite, Ceconite that has been painted or fabic from a fabric shop and painted or many other sources.
