No one is producing the Ikon kits now. Emil sold the company to another guy before he died who planned to modernize and sell the kits but that never got going. Fiberglass specialties makes a cowl for the Ikon Taylorcraft http://www.fiberglassspecialtiesinc.com/catalog.htm
I have a cowl-less Ikon Taylorcraft kit myself and need to get one for it.

Thanks, I just bought a T Craft, it is built and complete. I was thinking I might like to build this as a kit one day, and possibly need a replacement cowl. I appreciate your help.

Hey guys, I'm just finishing a scratch Taylor craft for a guy at our field in NC. It's from a set of unknown plans. True 1/4 scale 9" wing span. Did quite a few mods to the frame to make it better. I will be redrawing and producing kits if there is some interest. Will be creating a glass cowl and pants too. Not sure how close it is to the Ikon kit. I'll post some pics and a link to the website I'm creating for a complete build project article I'm doing. Should be finished by the first of the year.
