I will be using the DLE 35 ra on my smoothie so i will have to make a thicker firewall instead of the included one, as for location I'm sure some adjustments will have to be made. Thanks for the build link

Same question as Wild-Flyer above, how do I join or get a number?

I'm starting a build on a kit I've had for 14 years, and the kit was old when I got it. It's a 1/4 scale J-3, which I'm building as a L-4.

Once I get that one done, if I'm still alive (I'm 68), I have a BUSA SPAD XIII to build.

Default BUSA Brotherhood

I too would like a number, if available. I have a number of kits and a finished "Stick" - the kits are awaiting retirement...

Have a Blessed Day

I have not been into R/C for about 15 years. I just bought a Phaeton 90 to build and it took me back to my first 2 Phaeton 90's back in the late 1980's when I was in college. I dropped R/C's to work on full scale cars but got the bug to get something to fly. Of all the planes I had, this is one of the most fun planes I ever remember. I used to always run it out of fuel loosing track of time. This was my first with an OS 1.20. It had a removable wing section for a 35mm camera and many photos were taken from it.

At some point, an off field landing lead to a broken fuselage right in the middle. I kept the wings and tail. Met a guy with a load of Ham Video equipment. Keep in mind in the 80's this stuff weighed LBS not ozs. I spent the night rebuilding a fues and had it covered when he came back next morning. We flew it the next weekend with over 5 + 1/2 lbs of equipment. On one occasion we videoed a 21 turn spin. They watched live from a "Scooby doo" van. They all came our running because they thought I was about to crash; but no. Engine then was a Supertigre 2500.

Really enjoyed that plane and think it's time to do it again. One side note, notice added cross wire on landing gear. Helps to keep landing gear from spreading:

1st week of build. I can't believe it's been 30 years since I built one of these. Notice the added bar on the landing gear.

Thank You, it's a 1990 NASCAR. It is one of the reasons I have been away from planes for a while.

I am a bit surprised by the amount of errors in the instructions.

I hate to say it, but look up Xoar on Amazon and find the prop you want. I get the PJWWI series for my WWI aircraft.

After 2 weeks. Top desk is removable so I can gain access to batteries without removing wings:

I won't be able to work on it for a while. Thursday night would be the end to week 3 but I'll call it now:

I have had a turn in my health, I have come to the point that I just can not do this hobby any longer. I have sold all my planes and most of related items. I lost my password to rcu.com and lost interest. I will try to up date the requests. If anyone wants to do the Brotherhood, please email [email protected]. I have enjoyed doing the Hood and I have met many you at flying events.. I began RC in '72 in Taiwan ( 2 tours in Viet Nam, on C-130s) when I was in the USAF, flying as a Loadmaster, retired in 89 (26 years, then worked at Vance AFB, Okla. I am a member of SPADS RC Club in Enid Okla, I Enjoyed going to the Dawn Patrol events around the country (loved the Dayton events) , building and flying scale WW ! airplanes.. At almost 78 years old, I can still drive my 64 MGB roadster with the top down, I

It may take me at few days to review the pasted requests. Post new requests.

Happy Flying
Rich

Sorry to hear you have to give up. I did a tour in C-130s too . Now pushing 78 also. Thanks to foamie ARFs i can get to fly most days but i definitely feel i'm slowing down. Still - got to build and fly my new "coupe this year (earlier posts). Great to bring to events.
