Default Question regarding Top Flite P-47 GS Razorback canopy

I just did a test fit for the canopy that I purchased in order to make a razorback version, and it seems that after trimming it, the total height of the canopy is shorter than the one in the plan.
Therefore, there is a lot of gap to fill, by adding height to the side fuselage planking.
Am I missing something here?

Look at page 29 of your manual,,, http://manuals.hobbico.com/top/topa0415-manual-v1_1.pdf
4. Use leftover 3/32" balsa to sheet the openspace on both sides of the fuse between the cockpitdeck and the canopy.
good luck
