Default Cleaning your heat iron and more

I found a new chemical for cleaning burnt monocote and other coverings off your heating iron. Its called "Citristrip Stripping Gel". It is used for removing paint and varnish. This stuff will clean your iron FAST! It is orange colored. The only downfall is it costs' about $20.00 a quart, but it will last you forever.

Thanks for the tip! I'm sure it does a great job and smells a lot better than mineral spirits I use. Mineral spirits only cost about $5.00 a quart. Since it is Citrus "stripping" gel, does it contain high amounts nasty keytones? Or is it a more organic type of cleaner?

I use trim-solvent and cotton. It makes very quick work of it.
