Default TWM 27% Ultimate Thrust angle

TWM 27% Ultimate picked up at a garage sale
Have a question regarding thrust angle. The manual says 2 deg. When you measure the difference between the lengths of the engine box sides(f8) (over 6mm) then calc the thrust angle out of the box its over 3 degrees. Going to have to cut them down anyway to make room for DLE 55 (its the only engine available to me). Should I try to maintain the angle as is or cut the sides down so I end up with the indicates 2 deg as per the manual.
Im pretty certain I should just cut them so I end up with 2 deg thrust angle but kind new at this. This one look's like its been sitting in garage for years. Covering is coming loose all over it, So maybe the wood has shrank (2mm on one side) < could this happen?.

PS i would attache screen shots but this forum wont let me - guess I must have at least 10 posts b4 it will let me add pics

I would go with 3 degrees to start.
