Hello - this is my first post and I am new to the forum and looking forward to participating. I have been away from kit building and RC aircraft for 35 years and a lot has changed! With that said, I recently acquired a TF Gold Edition .60-.90 Corsair. Looking forward to building and getting up to speed on the new radios etc. and the apparent lack of suppliers. A lot of the folks I was familiar with have gone out of business in the last decade or so. With all that said here is the help I need: I can't seem to run a decent search within the forums to find build threads on this particular kit. Nothing specific is returned no matter what I seem to do and I would rather not surf through 150 pages trying to find what I am looking for. Hopefully someone can provide some good tips, links or other guidance. Thanks in advance.

Just do searches on Google as searches within many forums don't seem to work very well. That will lead you to the various forums and other information outlets. Those TF kits were very popular so you should be able to find quite a bit of info. Have you checked the warbird section here on RCU?

Oh yes, welcome back. That is a pretty ambitious project for having not built in awhile.

Hi - thanks for the response and the good advice. I am on a couple of other forums and that is a pretty common practice as well. I have tried searching google and receive a few hits but mostly for the giant scale version. What's frustrating is while searching for build threads there are many references to them but I can't find them. I think I did look in the Warbird section but will double check. Either way, it was worth a shot and I appreciate the reply.

And yes, I am jumping in with both feet. I always wanted one those kits (actually wanted the entire fleet) and when one came up locally for sale I couldn't resist. Trial by fire I suppose.

when doing your search on this site to find a thread that is dedicated to your search subject... select "ADVANCED SEARCH"

enter your keyword
select "search titles only in the pull down
to cut out short little threads add to the replies count...As you can see there are more ways to refine your results.

Sadly some planes (kits) just don't get a whole lot of thorough threads...

Oh, and select, show results as threads

Rick - thanks so much. That is exactly the information I needed. Once I added some key words and other parameters I received a lot of hits. I think I bookmarked 10 or 12 threads so I have a little light reading ahead of me.

You will find the most threads under the Warbirds section. I have one of those myself that I built with a 3 cylinder Saito Radial in it.
