What do you think of this as a second plane? I will use a K&B .65 and probably convert it to a taildragger if i get it. Or just to be safe, should I go with the BTE Venture 60? The hog is a little cheaper and so I would rather have it.

BCP, Do a search on "Astro Hog". Just pages of good info!
I hope you are an experienced builder.... The Hog is not an easy build compared to the Venture. I know...That's my Hog in my Avatar !
However, the old saying that says..."Nothing flys like a Hog" ! IT'S TRUE !
Good luck on your choice !

I have buildt a Sig 1/6th scale Piper Cub and that gave me plenty of trouble, but I was able to get through it alright, so I think trial and error combined with this forum will help me get through the Hog just fine.

The Hawg Bipe is a laser cut kit and has less sanding and carving than the Astro Hog. I love mine (see avatar). Doesn't disassemble easily though, so takes up a lot of room in the garage and requires something bigger than an economy car to transport.
