Default Lanier Stradacher 600

I bought a Lanier Stradacher 600 at a swap meet last summer. Now I am wondering if I want to spend the time to build it. I would like to hear from someone that has built this. I have questions about how much it weighs and did you fully sheet the wing? Is it feasable to mount the elevator servos in the stab and make the stab and rudder removeable?
Thanks in advance.

Default RE: Lanier Stradacher 600

When I built mine I considered it rather simple. Hardest part that I didn't like to do was cut out the ailerons and form the large balsa blocks that go on either side of the vert stab. Other than that it was a great kit to put together. The wings were not fully sheeted and the stabs are built as flat stabs no airfoil to it. The servos were mounted in the tail as the plans show. No problems there. Weight, I don't remember how much mine weighed. My uncle has it now and flies it with 3W75 which is more than enough for this airplane. Good luck, the plane is a great big sport flying model...
