Default Where do I get a cowl?

I am scratch building a 40" span Citabria/Decatholon and I would like to find a cowl to fit it. Scratch building a cowl is possible but if you know of a kit with a cowl similar in the right size point me to it.

How about stan"s Fibertech? I see that he has cowls for almost anything. I even saw that he will do one-offs Otherwise just do a search for them. Look in the AMA magazine they have lots of ads for glass stuff. I hope you can find one. Also check to see if a kit or plan in the size you are building exists. Sometimes you can buy one from a kit of a plan retailer and make 'em fit. I wish you well on your search.

easy way to make a cowl... heat gun and 3 liter coke bottle... make a plug and melt the plastic around. then glass over if you like. this way you can make the cowl look good on your plane. why go to the trouble of scratching a plane and using a stock cowl?
