I used your basic white glue - it'll come off, so when I want to put in a pilot I can remove the canopy. I then sealed the edges with a strip of 3/8" monokote that I ironed down. I was kinda in a rush to get to the field, so I didn't take as much time as I should have to get it clean, but it works. Best part? I can take it off.
Normally, I'll use screws, but the shape of the canopy didn't really give me the room I needed to put a 'flange' around it when cutting. You'd also have to plan this out before covering so you could put some balsa hold-down blocks behind the headrest for the screws. The method I used held up GREAT during flight - even after I soaked the thing with burnt oil (when I lost the muffler).
I'll try to weight the whole thing tonight, then I'll post the weight.

Got the plane on my bathroom scale. Not the most accurate, but all I have for now. It comes out to about 7.5 pounds with everything installed (OS .61 FX) and no fuel.
