Default 62" Lazy Ace engine

I have plans for the 62" Lazy Ace and wanted to put a gasser in it. Would the g26 be a good fit or is it too much for the 62" ??

Default RE: 62" Lazy Ace engine

I have a LA 62 that I finished recently and i am using an OS 91 Surpass for power. I think the firewall may be a bit narrow
to fit a G26 but I am not familiar with the mounting requirements for that engine either. You could widen the firewall and fuse
but that would create other issues with the upper wing mounting etc.
I think the air frame would handle the power of the G26 ok but if I were going to a gasser Ithink I would look at the next
larger air frame which I believe is the 76" version??
