Default EAA Bipe Engine Choices ???????????

I am building an EAA Bipe by Balsa USA. If anybody has built one before can you tell me if a Saito 91 will be enought power for basic aerobatics or should I got with my other choice, a Super Tigre .90. Any advice will help....

Maitland,

Either choice should be a winner. The Saito 91 would give nice scale like performance. Work at building light and flight should be great. Obviously the ST 90 would have more performance and less weight for more lively aerobatics.

If you haven't gotten too far in construction, I would recommend adding ailerons to the top wing. Not scale, but MUCH better flight agility. I know, I have flown mine both ways.

Have fun,

Bedford
