I can't find the "die cut" peices for setting the dihedral while joining the wings on my cub, an anyone tell me how far off the table this wingtip should be to get correct dihedral?
On another note, I've seen alot of guys talking about the die cutting in this kit, and for that matter it even says die cut on the box. But, I'm here to tell you this kit was laser cut. Anyone know if they are going laser on all their kits?

If you know trigonometry and the dihedral angle from the specs, you can figure this out pretty easily.
distance above table=length of wing from center(times) tangent of the dihedral angle
I have a Goldberg Cub and will try to work this out for you if you like. No time to do this in the morning but will try later in the day or tomorrow.

I checked my kit and the dihedral gauges will keep the wing 5/8 inch off the tabel.
At the fifth rib in from the tip for the long wing and third rib in from the tip for the clipped wing.
Hope that works for you.

I have built several Goldberg cubs and I do not use any dihedral. It flys better inverted that way. It also flys knife edge (including knife edge loops) better without it as well. It still flys like a cub but when you add power it can do alot more. Good luck...

Frank, I just asked that question in another heading > I build a clipped wing cub years ago and I think I did not give it any dihedral but was not sure.
