Installing the Horizontal Stab on the Venture 60. The book does not go into too much detail, so I needed some advice. I mounted the stab, and measured from the edge of the stab to the outside of the fuse on both sides and made it even. So, this centers the back of the stab with the fuse, but what about the front of the stab, how do I ensure that it is not cocked at an angle? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Stick a straight pin on centerline fuse at firewall. Then measure from pin to rear corner of stab on both sides and make these dimensions equal. Use a tape measure for best results. If you don't have a tape measure, buy 2 at a fabric store.
I remember when you bought the Venture kit here on RCU. You beat me to it.
Good luck ith it.

First find the center of the stab at the leading edge and center that with the center of the fuselage where they meet. then measure as stated above. It works for me.

my idea, not sure if every one would approve.Trace the outline of the stab on a piece of paper ,or use the outline thats on the plans --Fold it in half -(end-to-end) .The crease is now the center line of the stab. With this pattern -trace the centerline on to the built stab.Find center of fuselage --align marks --With stab pinned to fuselage-sight down fuselage to see if its centered up & down.If the bottom of the fuselage is flat --just measure both sides at the ends to the table ----
