Default micafilm application

I am getting ready to cover my sailaire. I am using micafilm so far I have had no problems covering the stab and rudder. My question is with the wings. The wings are d tube. With the micafilm is it necessary or even desirable to coat the sheeting with balsarite? Or is it better to just paint the perimeter of the sheeting? I intend to use the balsarite on the rib caps. Just want to know which way will reduce bunching of the covering.

It's not necessary to coat the sheeting. You can if you want to! But it's not necessary. [&:]

When applying Coverite Micafilm, you only really need to apply the Balsarite to the perimeter. If you want to adhere the Micafilm to the ribs, then get the Micafilm stuck to the perimeter first. Work out as many wrinkles as possible BEFORE you start any shrinking. Lift and re-stick as many times as necessary to get the covering as smooth as possible before you start the shrink the material and stick it to the ribs. This way, you'll be able to get a flawless finish.
