RE: small pitts special help
Could possibly have been the Herr Pitts. I have one with a OS 12 in it. 29 in. span. Good builders kit. I put ailerons on the top wing as it wasn't maneuverable enough for an aerobatic ship.

http://www2.mailordercentral.com/quantummodels/ Here is a address for quantum hobbies you can look there for the pitts. They aren't the cheepest place I've found though. My LHS has the Herr pitts can get it for $55 usd. If you can't find one let me know I would be willing to help you. I am also wanting to build one and was just at the LHS thursday checking it out. RE: small pitts special help
Here's my Herr Pitts. It has a 30" span though. I wouldn't call it a "builder's" kit - it's all laser cut and goes together without a hitch. Too easy. I'd say a first time builder could complete this kit without any real problems until it came time to do things that take experience - like installing the radio and doing the covering. The cowl sucks too. I discuss that in the article.
