A friend recently passed away and his wife gave me an old Sig Scamp kit that he had started many years ago. Looks like parts are all there?? and there is one sheet of instructions. Would like any info about the kit. Any way I can get a new foam wing (kit is a foam wing aircraft) and are there any more instructions available besides the one sheet that I currently have. Thanks in advance.

The wings are available from Sig for $14.95. The part number is SIGRPFC500. As far as the instructions are concerned, there should have been a booklet with the kit that had building instructions, set-up info, etc.
The kits are no longer made by Sig and there are few parts available anymore. I have a book for a Super Sport which is similar - uses many of the same parts. If I can find it I will try to scan it for you and send you the file.
Good luck!!

Bud, Thanks for the info. I did call Sig and ordered another wing for about the price you quoted. I don't think that this will be a teriffic flyer, but wanted to build it with my old friend in mind. The key his wife gave me has only one sheet of plans. I was wondering if that was it. Since it has a foam wing, I thought that was probably it. I think my is is really old, since it doesn't really address the installation of radio gear very much. I would certainly like any info you could send me, I wonder if it might be easier if I gave you my email address ([email protected]) of my mailing address. When I talked to the folks at Sig, I was saddened to hear that if they don't sell about 25 to 50 kits a year that they discontinue making that model. Thanks again for you time. Chuck

Benngrtp,
I don't know if you still need it but I have Scamp instruction booklet that I could send you a copy of. Also, if you ever want to sell the plans for the Scamp I'd be interested.

I was going to say that I think I have the booklet and maybe the plans as well. I bought a completed Scamp from a club member a few years back and never did fly it.
I know I got something with it but not sure if it was the plans, booklet or both.
Oh, I'd be willing to sell it if anyone's interested.

Sig Scamp... It's actually a nice flyer, and the best of the 4 kit series Sig had all based on the same foam wing. I flew two of these many years ago with an Enya .19 for power. No, it won't replace anything in your current fleet but it's cheap fun for just putzing along- fun shooting low, slow fly-bys just before dusk.
As I recall there were no full size plans, the fuselage & tail outlines were printed directly on the balsa. An easy build, & it will easily hold std size servos.
Regards,
Scott

thanks for the offer. Sorry I took so long to respond (holidays). I would be glad to send you a copy of the plans for the price of duping and mailing, nothing more. My toll free number at work is 888-289-9880 if you would like to give me a call next week to firm it up.

Scott,
thanks for the reply. As I said before, sorry for the late response, holiday. I was able to get one of the last foam wings from SIG a couple of weeks ago. I have a couple of ENYA 15's that I will probably use. Got any pics of one that you have built?
