Default covering

I am getting a lil poke park flyer and covering it with coverrite coverlite. This is my first covering job. Any one have good tips. Coverlite requires balsarite to be applied before covering.

Default RE: covering

Read the instructions that comes with the covering. I know it sounds corny. But there really is a lot of good information in there. I always start at the spar and work outward. Stretch the covering as tight as you can. Tack the spar and the otside edges. i then tack the covering to the ribs. After that I stretch the covering over the tips. pulling out as many wrinkles as possible. I also shrink as much as needed to get them tight. i then use my iron to shrink each panel between the ribs and then hit the tips. I only use an iron. I do not use a heat gun. I have more control with an iron. Good luck with your new plane.
