Sorry just blowing off steam. Building a Super Sports 20 as a warm-up to a SS-40 twin project and MAN am I glad I started with the 20!
Other than a couple of CL kits as a kid, I have only built a few kits that have been upgraded (?) with pretty detailed instructions. First time with one of the older, more vague type of instructions. Just about bald on one side of my head from all the scratchin and huh'in.
I do have the wing pretty much assembled and and the fuse complete up to adding the stringers.
Gotta say its been a learning experience and a lot more involved than my Tower Kaos and Uproar kits were.
If I manage to get this thing finished and flying, the twin project will be a snap.
Probably doesnt help that I am also building a vintage (die cut) Sig Wonder at the same time.

Hah! - Wait till you try your first plans build. I'm lucky the president of our club likes me, as he seems to be spending a lot of time with me on the weekends!
Seriously, take your time and look at the prints. It will start to make sense. I do feel your pain. Nothing goes as quick or as easy as we would like to think it should.

Oh man, I dont EVEN want to think about a plans build yet! I am getting it together tho. Part of the problem is that the pix they show in the instructions are for the .40 & .60 size Super Sports and quite often what they show is different from the .20.
Oh well, as I said, the twin .40 (twin Saito .30's actually) should be fairly easy to build from the main plans and the RCM conversion plans. Cant wait to get started on it!
Sure been eating some humble pie with this build tho!
