Hello everyone
I need to get my building hands back Ive been layed up for almost a full year due to foot recon. i have a Duelist that i need to build and want to build something that can help me get back into the groove before i take on this project
Heres the things i need to over come
the plane has to use a OS 52 4 stroke( Needs a new home
)
due to CA burning my eyes and making me congested<Sp> i will be using wood glue (titebond) etc, I have done a search on here on tips on how to use it and all new or improved tips are always welcomed. any other websites that have tips and tricks on how to use this for building would be awesome.
*** and if poss. i would like to fiberglass the plane cause i will be fiberglassing the duelist and want to get my errors out of the way. ( Have help doing the fiberglassing from a old 1/4 scale pylon racer
)
Ive built a Sig SE and a Shrike and countless repairs for dings when learning to solo
(forgot to put the above in on first draft)
Please ALL options are wanted

Great Planes Slow Poke 'Sporty 40'
A step up from the SE, and has a 'stringer' fuse, so that'll help get you going!
Really, any Great Planes kit, or a SIG kit...

if your allergic to CA, chances are the resins will give you some similar results. it takes a lot longer, but the good fashion Yellow Glue will do the trick--takes longer to cure and more rubber bands/etc to hold it in place-- but it does work. dick

Hows about a SIG 4*40. A 40 size Cub would be perfect with clipped wings. The new SIG 1/5 scale plane shoud be a great kit to do up. A Goldberg TigerII would be nice too. I hear that the Skyshark warbirds some could be flown with that engine. And just as a last suggestion a Paige Gee Bee "Z" would be a real change of pace. Good luck with whatever kit you get and I hope your back on your feet soon.

forgot the 2nd question. I would try a Playboy or something like it. easy to put together and a very good flying plane. your 4 stroker 52 wont be too strong or heavy for it. NO need to over build it either. nothing better than good old Mon-o-Coat. have fun building and flying. its still my favorite and prove at the field. have about 4 fellows, in the club building one. dick

I have a RV-4 on the way. and hope to start building later this week. a friend built one this winter and said it was a good and fast build. we plan on doing formation flying. just to improve our flying skills.
Hope to see lots of new faces this summer

sounds good. might finagle a trip North. Ionia was my maternal grandparents home and the family plot is there someplace. I'm an X Detroiter/Grosse Pointe, left in 1962, Chrysler and space boosters work. dick
