I'm going to ditch the torque rod approach, and place servo's in each wing for the aileron's.
Also I would like to side mount the servo's ... primarily for appearance.
My question... it looks like the fit will be very tight if at all possible. Do I need slim servo's (or the hitec aileron servo's) or can I get by with standard servo's.
Thanks in advance...

From: Napoleon, OH,
i havent built the 4 star, but standards should be fine, i have futaba 3003 servos in my astro hog bipe mounted as you described and they work well. you can mount the servos to a hatch or mount rails to the wing rib, just be sure to beef that rib up a bit so it can sustain the torque that may be put on it..
