Sig 4*60 - Where to glue APG part ??????
Just getting to the fuse on this plane, have all the parts identified except an 1/8" piece of lite ply that looks like this:
It was tacked to sheet #15 which included the dual tool, HR, fuse bottom, the TWM and this, THE APG. It is 7" long x 1" at the wide end and 3/4" at the small end. It is notched in two places so one would think it would fit in something.
I've looked through the book and the plans and can't find a reference to it. As it ends with "G" it must be some sort of a Gage as is the DG, dihedral Gage.
I don't want to glue the fuse not knowing just what this part is. You know what I mean?
I know I'll call myself an idiot when I find out, but that's the price I must pay, yes?
Thanks for the help!

Great Scott 4*60, it is in there!
How could of these old eyes miss two small sentences in 8-point font on page 25? Could I be getting OLD?
Yes!
The Aileron Positioning Guide! What a touch! I have built a fair number of kits over the years and have never been given an Aileron Positioning Guide! I always just used a straight edge to find zero deflection/neutral.
Well, thanks for not handing it to me, at least I don't feel like quite the idiot I thought I would be!
Happy flying, my friend.
(p.s. .... Love your handle!)

Well, my confidence is building at 18" and a 100 watt bulb, but pales at 100 feet and cloudy skys.....
...All I could think about is the guys in the pits saying..."Oh, my gosh, that idiot forgot his APG brace and his fuse self-destructed..." !
Thanks again, my friend.

4 star 60
I love my four atr 60 as well. I have modified mine with rounded tail surfaces and wingtips as well. I then added gun blisters and oil cooler and supercharger blisters, covered in Monocoat flat OD on top and flat gray on bottom added a WWII German pilot and decals.....presto a fun scale warbird that's easy to fly and a lot of fun to bash. Good luck with yours. Jollyroger

Thanks, guys!
Good to hear good things about the plane you've chosen!
It's all done, just final sanding and covering, radio and balance.
I'm not the best coverer, so I'm not motivated to start too soon...LOL
It's going to be fun, I'm sure!
Thanks again for the good reports and happy flying!

I've got a 40 and a 60. Love the 60. Only mods are pull-pull rudder and 2" of rudder extension. Flying w/ a K&B .61 w/ a Perry carb. Great relaxing plane.
