Default New Wing LT-40?

Hey guys:

I busted the leading edge and a couple of ribs out of my LT-40. I am pretty decent flying the trainer, but I took my dad out on fathers day to the local high school to fly her. I brought her down in a parking lot, and wacked her into a parked pickup truck......while taxing after my landing.

Wondering what my options are. I am looking at repairing it, but I was also considering ordering a new wing.

Do you guys know what is available? Where can I find replacement wings online? What is the price of the wing in ARF form? What about a wing kit?

Just curious.

-Thanks

If you decide not to repair it, your LHS (Local Hobby Shop) should be able to order a replacement wing. Another possibility is to see if you can order one directly from SIG.

Yea...Just wondering if anybody had a price on the wing kit...or the ARF wing. Wondering about Build VS Buy. Trying to decide. I thought that I saw somewhere..the ARF wing for $70. I assume the kit version is much cheaper.

I taxied my LT-40 into the fence barrier at the field. The LE and a few ribs got crunched on the left wing. All the damage was in front of the spar. I picked up all the pieces of broken ribs and CA everything back together. I spliced in a new piece for the broken LE. I recovered the damaged area with the same colour monokote. The repairs were practically invisible and the wing looked like new.

If your spars weren't damaged, I will be cheaper to do a repair job.
