My local hoby shop has it on sale for 199.00$. It was 300 just months ago. Think I might buy it for future project. What do you guys think?

As I recall this is the Giant scale one. At 200$ you better get there before I do
. I think if scale is your desire you won't go wrong with this kit. I see many threads here on them. And universally there are only good things said about them. They look good and fly good. As a first warbird it would be perfect. Go ahead and get it. The price is real right too. Good luck with it.

Hi,
I am in the final stages of building my P-47 and I can say if you can get one for that price, DONT WAIT, not even
a minute. Its not the easiest kit I have built, but it aint the most difficult one either.
I have to finish the belly pan and the wing filets, then I can start glassing. Hope I get there before it gets too cold
to paint (I have to paint outside).
One thing, this is just my opinion you understand, but I would pitch the cowling that comes with the kit and get a
fiberglass one from some place. Stan's Fiber Tech or Fiberglass Specialists are both good and its a lot easier than
trying to assemble the one that comes with the kit.
