Default help selecting a kit please

Well i have been lurking for about a week, done a lot of searching and still can not come up with an answer. Any input you have to the following question would be appreciated. I am getting back into RC flying after a 15 year hiatus. (started having kids ). I like to build kits. I was a skilled pilot when I was flying. So my question is as follows. I would like to build a 40 or 60 size airplane from a kit that has the ability to fly 3d. Doesnt have to be a strict 3d plane but i would like to dabble in that area. I would prefer a 60 size kit.

How about a Sig Something Extra,.40 to .50 size engine. Then there is the Tower Hobbies Uproar .60,Fun plane to flop around in the sky with and cheap, little limited on the real 3d stuff though. Now for some real 3d stuff try the Ohio Model Products profile Yak,,,65 inch span,.60 to .90 engine. As far as kits go there is a little void in 3d planes out there, looks like the ARF market is taking over,,You can give the Great Planes Extra 300s kit a try, thats a nifty plane.D&L Designs makes some partial kits for a Cap and an Edge 540 for a .60,then there is the Lanier Stinger.Honestly, not to much out there as far as kits go for a .60 3d plane. The Sig Something Extra IMO would be the way i would go,fun plane, somewhat easy build.
