Default FLAP HINGE HELP!!

Im installing a single Robart barbed pin hinge on the flap of my Sig Ryan kit. It is controlled by an 1/8" torque rod connected to one end of the flap. When i put the hinge in the opposite end of the flap, the flap goes down crooked? What am i doing wrong? I placed the pin hinge in the center of the trailing edge and lead edge of flap. I also tried other locations and the flap goes down crooked.
Any help is appreciated.

The break point of the hinge needs to be inline with the torque rod, so they pivot at the exact same plane.

Thanks guys, That's what it was. The plans show the torque rod in a different location. They are wrong! I changed it and it's fine now.
