Hello All,
Just a little story to tell, ive recently completed my first "home made" model "pinto". All i want to say is what a buzz and rush i got when i launched it for the first time - and it flew - and i built it!! A couple of flights in though i crashed it in to the only gate post for miles around ( funny how planes are attracted to the hardest object around) i was gutted, but as i started to repair the damaged wing i really got into it and really enjoyed this part to. Now she has flown again, although shes a bit sluggish (ive got the wrong size prop (but thats another thread). Any way a big thanks to everyone who contributes on this site who have made my build go a lot smoother.
Joseph (who cant get the smile off his face).

Your forgetting the oldest law in physics. Model airplanes have magnetic properties with Trees, Posts, Fences and signs. :-)
Sounds like your first build has done more then fly well. Looks like a good design too.

Joseph,
Nice looking plane! If I may make a suggestion though (can't get better without critique) next time throw the servo / aileron rods on the bottom so their hidden
Other then that it's sweet loooking. I'm digging the cowl ya made.

Now that I think about it... I don't really use the rudder in flight. If I could manage a strait take-off into the wind every time, I would forget the steerable tail wheel and save myself a servo.

So when your plane is 4 years old, all beat up, full of grass stains and pieces of trees, you can smile and be proud of your new aerodynamically enhanced kit. "why does you plane have so many dents?" - It makes it more aerodynamic!

Thanks for all your great comments, the reason the aileron rods are on top is that this plane doesnt have any landing gear so it could be a problem
. Cant wait to get back out flying.
