I have found many different plans out there for the staggerwing, and it seems that it has become a popular aircraft again I see that there are several model versions from different companies. though some of the plans I have seen are good, they just aren't right, with most it is the wing designs that vary. I live in southern California so I have been able to go out to some of the airports that there are alot of classic aircraft at and see the really thing. I have been able to grab some meassurements from them. That is how I have been able to draw my own plans. My plan is to build the frame up and make it a mold to make the aircraft out of fiberglass using a special vacume mold process. Once built and tested I will start to market the aircraft as a kit or full construt. I will post pictures as construction goes by.

A friend and I built the Maurataka (Hobby Barn) Staggerwing--which is the same kit. It has an RCV 90 in it. It went together fine. Building the tail with an internal control horn for the rudder and tail wheel was a little tricky. It's covered with Koverall and painted with dope. It flies well. It will snap on take off if you don't get enough speed up. It will also snap on landing if you don't keep speed up.
