I'm about ready to finish up my 3W Bearcat and would like to chat about the trials and tribulations of getting one of these things flying. I have construction photos, gear installation pics and measurements, hints, tips, etc. to swap and share. If anybody has one with the Century Jet scale retracts and wants to cuss/discuss the gear drop me a line. Same goes for the kit. All of this is far better than the total lack of direction we get with this combo from the manufacturers!! You had better be serious when taking on this project!! If you like impressive warbirds this baby will make your day if you have enough Prozac!!

I have been looking at a Bearcat kit, It's the Model Aviation Technology kit (out of business) 88" wing, fiberglass gel coated fuse with hatches, panel lines, rivets and sheeted foam core wings and tail, this kit comes with some very nice (large) retracts and a manual that from glancing over it appears to originally come from Norway, could the kit you have be similar to this? It is very expensive, but very high quality, I am having trouble deciding on laying it away...........Bud

I'm considering getting this kit, I would be really pleased to receive any comments about it (positive and negative) from building and flying points of view, and also to see any pictures.
Many thanks,
Steve.

Howard,
My flying buddy is about through glassing a big Bearcat. I'm not sure which one he has, but I'll clue him in to this thread.
