Hello,
I am going to start construction of my Top Flite Giant scale P-47. I was wondering if anyone here has built one before, and if there is anything I should know before I start.
Thanks

My Feedback: (26)
I just aquired a P-47 kit, and I am trying to decide on power plant. I am strongly considering a Saito 1.20, but I'm curious about weight on this model. If you like a two stroke, I hear the Super Tigre G-75 will power this model nicely, but I like the sound of a four stroke plus the capability of swinging a larger prop. What engine did you choose?

I am thinking on a G-38, however I would like to ensure it will be enough power. A G-45 might suit my needs better. We will have to see as the model progresses. Right now I am trying to detail and scale up the tail surfaces. This model would be great if you only wanted a sports scale plane. I need to do a lot of scaling up to make it look good. This is my first scale project and I am learning lots from the other modeler's in my area. It will be a nice size bird.
