Default Covering design/schemes ideas

S! All

I've been looking at all the sweet plane covering in the post below and was wondering about methods of testing a plane paint/covering design before actually beginning to cover the real plane. I'm currently building my first kit and was trying to come up with a good way to see my design ahead. I discovered G2 and the possibility of designing on an exsisting plane..one problem..I need a program that I might learn easily and does the proper file conversions. Any thoughts??

The only thing it needs to do is save the file a as .pcx(i think?) I was using a program I got with my scanner, was made by Ulead software if I remember right. Any photo or graphics program should work. My biggest problem was that I was building and covering planes that aren't in any of the simulators(G2, FMS, AFP, etc)
