I'm in the process of building and am to the point of fitting for a tailwheel. any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't built the Skyshark, but I have used the Sullivan tail wheel on several models and they are easily installed, work well, and are reasonably priced. They come in 3 sizes, essentially small, medium, and large.

I fly on a grass field. Do you think that a spring pull-pull arrangement would be better for this?

Maybe, but the Sullivan works great on a grass field and it's a lot simpler.
