Has anyone modded the Dazzler or Uproar kit so that the wing can be removed - either two piece with an aluminum tube or bolt on type design? I thought either one of these hot little planes would make a good "travel model" with a removable wing. I did a search but did not find such an attempt-any reason this mod would not be a good idea? The Uproar .60 has a removable wing, but the wing center 'Device',LOL) is a pain.Wasn't that bad though,i built the plane in three nights, pretty easy.Modding the.40 will require a fuse redesign, constant taper from the firewall to the tail.

I was mostly thinking about the 40 size-saw that the 60 size had a removable wing-so the fuse on 40 size has a taper in the wing area-that would present a problem-but-for $40 may give it a shot.

I have two Uproar 40s that both have removable wings (bolt-on.) The first one has more than 100 hard flights on it with no problems and the second one is in the covering stage. If you'd like, I can get some pictures of them tomorrow and post them along with any other details.

Shane-that would be great if you get a chance-have some basic ideas but if yours is proven-that is enen better-may build 2 at one time-one for a friend that works all the time. Couple of pics is worth a or 2 thousand words-so they say. Thanks Flipstart
