Default Plan: Top view does not equal side view.

Building a Tower Trainer. I'm supposed to install & check some parts over the top view, but the top view is obviously wrong (some of the formers have tabs, and there is really only one way the fuse could have gone together).

What needs to be done to the fuse is to glue the bottom and top 'slabs' on.

Because I can't follow instructions completely, would I be correct that I can build over the top view to maintain the general outline of the plane and use the side view as a reference to where other formers are installed?
