Default retract servo location for a safhir pattern ship

I was given a safhir pattern plane and I am putting it together. I have hit a road block. The wings have the slots for retract, and the instructions show that the servo is inserted between the two wing halves. Now to do it they way the show, there is no way in heck you could ever get to the servo to fix it or adjust it if something went wrong. I an thinking if i made a servo box
that I can glue between the wings so you could pull the cover and get to the servo is the best way to go, but I am certainly open to suggestions. Remember the wing halves glue to gether to a single wing.
