Default What ARF do you wish was available as a kit?

With all the ARFs available nowadays and many not available in kit form, what ARF do you wish was available as a kit?

Personally, I would really like the Funtana 90 in a kit so I could build it myself and know it is done right...

What would be your first choice?

Funtana 90 is a good choice - even the 40 would be nice. I wouldn't mind having a UCD 40 or 60 kit myself.

How about a full scale CAP 232 or an EXTRA 330!!!!

Seriously though, the H9 1/3 scale CAP would be one of my first picks.

I would love to get my hands on plans or a kit for Quique's 72" Yak or a Funtana 90 would be nice too.
It is a shame you can't find kits or plans for some of these modern designs

A little less exciting, but I'd like the Ultra sticks from hangar9 to be kitted. (At the factory, not the field )

I know that this is a little off the subject, but if I was able to have one plane that was out in a kit. And I only had one choice, there wouldn't be any discussion. I would bring back the Great Planes Ultra Sport 60. Anyone who has flown this plane knows what I mean, there may not be a better flying plane made. And those that haven't flown one, you definately don't know what you are missing.

But there is hope. Talked to a rep from Great Planes about 5 months ago and was told that they are considering a "nostalgia" release of the Ultra Sport. Got my fingers crossed.

Now that I've got that off my chest, my choice for this subject would still be the Dave Patrick Ulimate (120 size).

Ok, I'll climb off my soapbox now.

I will second Byris, I can't believe that one of the major Mfg's isn't putting out a laser cut stick kit. (.60 size would be my choice.)

When I put the time into building a model, it's not going to be one that can be mistaken for an ARF.
I've got no problem with buying an ARF of an airplane type I want to fly.

redbluffwingnut,
Actually, the only Ultra Sport that Great Planes offers it the 40 size. the 60 and 1000 are both out of production. If you ever want to sell the 1000 let me know.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I won this at one of our club meeting about 3 years ago. I'll agree it's an excellent flying plane. I have a YS 1.20 FZ..goes straight up if you want.

I wish Global had made the SST.09 available as a kit. The ARF was $90.00! who wants to spend that kind of money on a 35" wingspan plane? I bought a used one at the swapmeet for $30.00 and slapped a Norvel .074 in it, and am so impressed I want another.

Actually, I have all the Kaos (other than the 1/4 scale) kits covered now. Have 2 Killers, one utter, 2 supers (40) and finally got hold of another Tower Kaos. Got myself a Breezee too just for yucks.
Wanted the Tower Kaos to replace the one I had that met an untimely demise. Found one on Ebay.
Just gotta start building!

A nice P-38 in 40 size. Something that won't cost an arm and leg to build so you don't loose too much when one of the engines go dead on you. Seems to be the curse of the P-38s.
