Default How many hinges to a surface??

Hi-

I have posted here before regarding refurbishing my astro hog. I am in the process of rehinging the ailerons and wondering if four hinges is sufficient. This plane is about 10 years old. I am not the original owner so I don't have the plans. If anyone has a set of plans they would like to get rid of, let me know. Is there a ratio or rule of thumb for the number of hinges per linear inch (TE) per se?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

And yes, I have been told by many, many people that I am out of my mind to refurbish my Astro Hog. I know the new kit only costs about $100, but I guess I just love THIS plane and I wanted to re-do her!!!

Thanks...

Dennis

I would use the same number of hinges (or one more) as are on it now. Typically, there are 3 hinges per aileron (4 on full length strip ailerons).
