What are all you people using for servos in your .40 size Extra's? I went with the single servo method with the ailerons. I have several Futaba S3004's and Hitec HS-425BB's . Just looking for good sport performance.Any help woulb be great.

Standard servos all around too with dual aileron servos. Actually I did put a digital servo (not sure the number) for the rudder servo but it's probably overkill in a model this light.
I haven't flown mine yet, maybe tomorrow?.... How does your fly? Not trying to hijack the thread, just curious...

Depends what motor you have on it but mine flys very well with an OS50 and that 10 dollar pipe tower sells for thier 46. Nothing crazy but it flys fairly scale aerobatics. Tracks well, lands well. I like mine. Throw gas in it and go, no twiddleing like with my helicopters or Mustang.

I switched the OS 46AX out of mine after 4 gallons of fuel and in went a 61FX. This plane is NOT ment for 3D so no point in trying it either. And if you want to go dual aieleron servos I would suggest the Hitech mini Mightys with the MG's.

I flew mine with a Magnum 52 two stroke. My servos were all 3004 futabas. One on aileron only. I did upgrade my pack to 6 volts to get some extra power on the rudder servo. I could do a knife edge loop with this plane.

I test flew the Extra today. It flies much better than my Ugly Stik! I got in 4 flights before I ran out of good light. It will drop[ the left wing if stalled, but it almost stops in the air before the stall arrives... Nice plane.

I finished mine this week and havent had a chance to fly it yet, been real windy. I have a magnum 52 and saw that a few people in this thread had the same setup, how does it fly with the magnum?

And tomorrow looks worse than today.
