Default GreatPlanes Learjet

I've read several posts about extremely long take-off roll and low speed tip stalls with the GreatPlanes Lear 40. I recently purchased a partially assembled kit and would like to know if anyone has made helpful modifications such as flaps, wing tip washout, etc., to improve the low speed handling.
Has GreatPlanes made any recommendations?
Thanks, Terry M.
