There are tons of threads about this. Search on balsa cowl and 4 star. The ultimate site for this seems to be: [link=http://renderwurx.com/rc/sig4star/]4 star cowl[/link]

good luck,

See if any of your flying buddies have a Radio Controlled Modeller archive. If one does, borrow the September 2000 issue. There is an article there titled "A Nose-Job For Your Tiger or Four-Star" and over 5-6 pages outlines the process of building a balsa cowl for those planes. I may even try it on my 4*120!

I cut the protruding side nose plywood off mine, glued on a balsa cowl that i carved from a solid block. lots of hollowing and sanding. turned out very nice.[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/gallery/galleryItem.cfm?itemID=3981&dummy=4777.3176500468135&opener=/gallery/galleryCat.cfm%3FmemberID%3D68246]my 4 star 40[/link]
